Aster lateriflorus Prince

Aster lateriflorus Prince – Aster perennial prince is a near black leaf stemmed aster with classy contrasting little white blooms with ruby red stamens that are firmly grouped along downward long bushy branches.

The Aster Prince and Lady in Black are nearly identical, so if you have one, you don’t need the other. The difference is one is a fraction taller than the other.

This is one plant that would put even the most skilled photographer to the test. It’s difficult to catch the correct colour of the stems, leaves, and flowers in one shot, and I’m still working on it. Those green leaves in my photo are supposed to be nearly black.
