Helianthus ‘Loddon Gold’

Helianthus ‘Loddon Gold’ is also known as the double perennial sunflower and as the Loddon Gold perennial sunflower. This herbaceous perennial steadily develops into a tall background plant and blooms from late summer to autumn with dark green leaves and a long succession of 3 to 4-inch golden yellow double flowers at the ends of the stems, which resemble dahlias. It spreads at the ground surface over time and has no problems with frost.
It is not finicky about soil conditions; however, it will thrive when 5 cm of well rotted manure is applied to the ground in early spring as a fertiliser and mulch.
A robust, simple-to-grow plant that thrives in hot areas.

I grow mine in full sun until 1 pm
